Add Noise Studios is a one-man creative studio based in Pasadena, CA that is owned and operated by Mike Tallman (me).
I specialize in creative work for the music industry with an emphasis on gig posters and album covers/packaging, but can handle all kinds of creative work from logos and branding to social media campaigns and more.
In 2022 I began hand-printing my own gig posters (silkscreen) and have maintained a heavy focus on that part of my career ever since. I currently print as much of my own work as possible and occasionally offer to print for other clients.
In 2018, I founded Color Red, a Denver-based record label and entertainment platform in partnership with Eddie Roberts (The New Mastersounds). I served as creative director and graphic designer for the label, but I also wore the hats of producer, recording engineer and session guitarist. I’ve since stepped down from my role with the label, but my trusty Tascam 388 tape machine still functions as the heart and soul of the Color Red studio.
I’m a native of the great state of Iowa and have been a professional musician and graphic artist since graduating from college in 2006. I lived and worked in Colorado from 2008 until 2022, when I relocated my business to sunny southern California. I have a BFA in graphic design from the University of Iowa and am a founding member of the band Euforquestra.
